The Hagia Sofia is a worship place that shows how multicultural Istanbul can be. It was built between 532 to 537 as a Christian Church to become later an Eastern Orthodox church. In 1453, after the Ottomans victory, it was converted into a mosque and in 1935 it was transformed into the Ayasofya Museum.
The building is considered one of the beauties of history and its conquest by the Turks is considered by many Greeks as the maximum exposure of the loss of power of Christianity.
