Tverskaya Street became a road during the 12th century. It connected Moscow with Tver city and it was very important back then. During the 17th and 18th centuries, Tverskaya Street was known as the main street of the russian’s capital social life. It was considered cool by nobles to live here. When 19th century was finishing the street was rebuilt, changing the big mansions for commercial places, giving an amazing mixture of architectonic styles.
Today, this main street of Moscow, is the most expensive street to shop, drink and eat in the city, and it has become only affordable by the high class of Russia and the wealthy tourists.
